She had a change of heart and wanted to get the coverage. Naturally we were concerned about Mr. Clancy's mental state. She admitted on the phone that he had started to develop some memory problems and they were very concerned. She wanted to know if they could still get the coverage. Wanting to be perfectly honest with her, we said "probably not ..."
Of course she became defensive and claimed that by law, she had to be offered the coverage. Once we explained to her that the law did not make any such provision, we agreed to meet with them again, but only if the kids could be present.
When we went to their house the second time, seven of the ten children were present. Upon questioning, the oldest son told us about an experience that he had recently had with a friend...
